USA:

Upendra Chivukula: Deputy Speaker of New Jersey Assembly.Upendra is an American Democratic Party politician, who has served in the New Jersey General Assembly since 2002, where he represents the 17th legislative district.

Assemblyman Chivukula is the first Asian Indian American elected to the New Jersey General Assembly and the fourth Indian American in the United States to be elected to state office.

Chivukula has been the Assembly's Deputy Speaker since 2007. He serves in the Assembly on the Chair of  Telecommunications and Utilities Committee and the Commerce and Economic Development Committee.

Germany:

Dr.Ravindra Gujjula: Dr.Ravindra Gujjula is most popular-Visionary Politician in Germany& Most Popular NRI- Politician in the World.

Member of Legislature of Federal State(Member of parliament): Dr. Ravindra is a doctor by profession, recently elected as a Member of Legislature of Federal State of Brandenburg(near Berlin) in Germany.Dr. Ravindra's Win is Historic in The German politics.Dr.Ravindra is German Social Democratic Party(SPD) politician.

Three-time Mayor: Previously, Three-time Mayor of Altlandsberg in Germany.There had never been a non-white mayor anywhere in Germany before Gujjula's success. Dr. Ravindra was elected mayor of Altlandsberg in 1993 when he captured 80 percent of the vote."A dark-skinned becoming a Mayor was a big news."
 
Head of the Anti-Right club: Dr. Ravindra is Head of the Anti-Right club "Brandenburg against rightists." Dr. Ravindra fought radicals from the right-wing scene in the Election time.Gujjula has been working hard to foster peaceful cooperation between Germans and foreign citizens.


Fiji:

Kamlesh Reddy: Member of Parliament in Fiji for Labasa Communal Constituency. Kamlesh Reddy is Fiji Labour Party(FLP) politician. 

* Dr.Nagagopal Venna- The Brian McGovern Award- 2007 for Clinical  Excellence at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

 
Dr. Nagagopal Venna, MD, MRCP(I), MRCP(UK), was  honored with The Brian  McGovern Award- 2007 for Clinical Excellence at the Annual Physician Recognition Dinnerof the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, attended by about  600 physicians in October 2007.This group represents nearly 1500 physicians  from a wide range of medical specialties at the Massachusetts General  Hospital, the premier teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.
 
The Brian McGovern Award: This award recognizes commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care at the Massachusetts General  Hospital. The citation was read by Dr. Anne Young, chief of  the neurology department- "Dr.Venna is incredibly well-read, erudite, knowledgeable, and likes to teach.His experience in even the rarest of clinical cases is tremendous and  he makes the diagnosis of even the rare syndromes seem easier than it is for any  one else.He is one of the great teacher-clinicians.In the clinic every  single patient who is seen is discussed in detail with something interesting  emergingin the most routine cases. He is the doctor that you want your ill family memberto see. He is the sage whom you want to discuss your case with. Every single interaction with him leads to an insight into the patient or yourself".

Dr. Nagagopal Venna is an eminent neurological physician, practicing  and teaching  at the Massachusetts General Hospital. and Harvard medical  School forthe past 10 years. He worked in similar roles at the Neurological Unit  of Boston City Hospital, a major teaching hospital for Boston University Medical School.
 
He is an expert in the disease of the brain and nerves with special  interest in the infections of the nervous system, especially in the neurological  disorders caused by AIDS.
 
Dr Venna is a graduate of Guntur Medical College in  Andhra Pradesh where he had the  influence of stalwart clinicans and teachers  such as Dr T. Srinivasan and Dr Mallikharjuna Rao and Dr Lakshmana Rao.
 
He did  his internship at Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabd with Dr S  Ramachandra rao and Dr Veera Ragahava rao, among other distinguished physicians. He was  trained in Internal Medicine in Ireland and in Neurology at the neurological unit  of Boston City Hospital by Dr Thomas Sabin.
 
Dr. Venna's Family: Dr Nagagopal  lives with his wife Usharani and sons Drs Suraj and  Praveen Venna in Brookline, MA
 
Awards:
 
Best Doctots in America Award:  Dr Venna's  excellence as a physician  with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the brain and nerves has
been recognized by his peers by selection to the Best Doctors in  America 5 times since 1996 and including current year 2007.
 
Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching: Dr. Venna's many years of contributions and dedication to teaching and training of medical  students and post-graduate physicians in the medical speciality of neurology have  been recognized by the Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching at Boston  University.The Metcalf Awardee is selected across all the schools of the  University.
 
His portraits on the occassion of this award are displayed permannently at  the Boston University  main campus and in the Medical School library.
 
Teacher of the Year Award: Dr Venna was honored 3 times as the Teacher  of the Year by the Neurology Department of Massachusetts General Hospital. He  was elected to the Academy at the Harvard Medical School in recognition of  his committent and contributions to teaching.

* Jay Reddy- "Indian American Businessman" - "Jay Reddy "has received the "State Small Business Person of the Year award"- 2007 in this year's Small Business Administration's (SBA) nationwide search. 

There were no Indian Americans in the nine categories that make up the National Small Business Champions list in 2007.
 
The event was attended by Senator John Kerry, chairman, US Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and Matt Kistler, senior vice president, marketing, research and insights, Sam's Club.
 
Virginia-based Reddy, Chairman and CEO of ProLogic, Inc., received the award April 24 at a glittering ceremony held in Washington. Reddy got the award for West Virginia.
 
Reddy formed ProLogic, an IT firm, in 1995 and steadily built it into a successful business, providing quality software development, IT products and systems integration and engineering.
 
With SBA's help, Reddy won several federal contracts leading to a 400 percent increase in employment and a 600 percent rise in revenues in the last four years, according to SBA.
 
"This is the first time a West Virginia company has made it to the list, which reflects positively on the leadership at ProLogic and also on West Virginia and the technology corridor as a whole," said Judy McCauley, district director of SBA's West Virginia office.
 
Reddy said: "From simple beginnings and a dream to become a successful business, ProLogic has become home to over 230 skilled and valuable employees. This recognition is a validation of the hard work and effort our employees have put forth, not just in 2004 but over the 10-year history of the company.
